Like R & B Entertainment Singer, Soul Brother Number One, James Brown Says, “ OWL, HIT MAY “ ! YES, ENY Community Board #5 Hit Us With Its Brand New 2008 District Budget At Their Wednesday 10/25/06 Monthly Meeting At The P.S 13 Public School Located At 557 Pennsylvania between Riverdale & Livonia Avenue’s In The ENY Section of Brooklyn N.Y. It’s so strange as we sit in the meeting together perched inside of the lunch room from each meeting table, if you look out the window directly behind the ENY Community Board #5 Chairmans speakers podium. At each monthly meeting every 15 minutes or so you can eerily see and loudly hear The MTA’s IRT #3 Train rolling by above on the elevated tracks lighting up the nights star lit sky as it rolls by in the background suspended in the universe as we presently continue our monthly meeting. Maybe The MTA should think about placing hard rubber wheels containing no air on the trains so you will see but not hear the trains as they quietly roll by. Like Comedian Arsenio Hall use to say, “ It’s One of Those Things, That Make You Go Ummmm ! “ Ha, Ha, Haaa “ ! { Smile }

Last year, if you have continuously been reading my news column, Remember ENY Community Board #5 and Brownsville Community Board #16 both supported our efforts to reconstruct, The IRT #3, BMT L Train, and the Livonia Ave Walkway Bridge. They both placed our MTA issues on their 2007 expense budget to be funded, we thought both issues would have been funded, but that was not the case. WE DID MANAGE TO GET THE BMT L TRAIN NEW LOTS, LIVONIA, SUTTER, and ATLANTIC AVENUE TRAIN STATIONS RECONSTRUCTED

AND THE IRT #3 ELEVATED STEEL STRUCTURE PAINTED.

BUT WE DID NOT GET THE THIRD EXPRESS TRACK AND THE LIVONIA AVE WALKWAY BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTED AND CONNECTED AS A FREE FARE TRANSFER POINT BETWEEN THE MTA IRT #3 AND BMT L TRAIN LINES !
After Waiting 50 Years, " WHAT THE # * # * ..... "

Most of the NYC five borough important Community Board projects that are funded are taken from the top 10 list anything after that has a good chance of possibly becoming wasted ink on paper unless, it has its own built in support structure, private or political funding network. We hope that all of our 2008 capitol expense projects get funded but after 50 year's don't you think its time we take a serious look at improving the transportation within the ENY community ? A community project that should have been updated first before building 1000’s of new homes within our community. The new 2008 budget is listed below and we hope this time the Mayor and other elected leaders will take a hard look at our MTA Transit Improvement Project suggestions which has managed to slip through the cracks, “ for over 50 year's “ ! We hope ENY and MTA leaders take a serious look at our MTA Transit Improvement Project, " That Has Blindly Slipped Through The Cracks of NYC Politics For Over 50 Year's "! ! Our IRT #3 Transit Committee has collected over 4,000 signatures so far, so look for and sign our MTA IRT #3, BMT L Train, and our Livonia Ave Walkway Bridge Transit Improvement Signature Petition Today !
