Dear: Friends and Neighbor's.

I'm an African American WEb"MAster that chooses to keep living within ENY Brooklyn N.Y and have lived here for over 51 year's. My words of wisdom to you are, life is a series of choices so choose wisely, I have found that, "Education Has Been My Best Defense Against Poverty“! When you are young you may not realize just how very important and valuable education really is. But as you get older and all of your close friends move away, go to jail or die. That is when you really realize just how valuable your education really can be, as it hits you in the face full force as it takes over allowing you to instantly flip bad situations in your favor as positive ones. Because you can now add, read, write, out think most people and are constantly on the alert for new knowledge, you will become a threat to some people just because you are educated. Remember, knowledge is the key to wisdom, power, and understanding " never forget this " it is the true reason why all slave masters no mater what color they are, want you to stay ignorant ! Always try to learn something positive today in school, which in turn will help you grow and become stronger and more versatile in the future using the knowledge you gained today, like a magic wand tomorrow.

I look at life as a giant chess game and see myself as an African King chess piece on the game board of life living inside of a concrete jungle called, The Big Apple NYC. I personally know many people that have Mansions and Mercedes Benz living the life of reilly and many of them are not happy because they chose a career or business that they make a lot of money from, but are not really happy with what they are doing with their life. Myself on the other hand I don't own a Mansion but I " LOVE ", what I'm doing, after all that's what MAKES LIFE INTERESTING , SWEET AND JUICY, if you love what you are doing, then that is half the battle won. I can laugh at myself, I always crack jokes, keep it light sweet and moving. I love computers but Aaa...Aaa... No, No don't there, I'am not " A NERD, I'am not " A YUPPIE OR A BUPPIE " , I detest those names ! What I'am, is a hard core brother from the HOOD you had to be hard core to survive where I come from, with a teflon coating and boxing fist to keep on trucking. I over educated himself because back during the 1950's - 60's before the Drug epidemic hit the hood, education is what it all was about as we rose out of SLAVERY ! I believe and follow what Martin Luther King believed, " GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT, AND WORKING AS A TEAM JUST MAKES IT EASIER " ! My families background inherited ancestry is raising up from the ashes as former SLAVES raising to be the best you can be with honor, dignity and high morals. All of us owe a better life in time to the unborn just like others did before us who plowed the fields, made a path to follow, and gave me my freedom and who never knew my name ! I inherited freedom from them and I want to do my part for others walking out of time in the future. Each of us owes the unborn better moments in time, that we can relish by chipping in and claiming as our own today. Devotion should be given without petty prejudices that can warp a mans judgment and devaluate prosperity in the mind to stop or derail others in the future.

Nothing is impossible and most situations can be turned around with education, networking contacts and time. My unique views of life have help me survive and out live the majority of the friends I personally grew up with. Nothing stays the same in this world everything just like the seasons on the calender must change because we are all just passing through time question is, like falling sand through the hour glass, what will you do with the time you have been allotted by The Lord will you help someone in need or selfishly grab and horde it for yourself. The majority of my neighbors inside of ENY Brooklyn use to be white people then gradually one by one all of my white neighbors all disappeared and the neighborhood slowly became dominated by more African Americans. Back in the 1950's their were a handful of about five Hispanic families that lived within my NYC Cypress Hills Housing Authority Project you could count them on your hand. At that time seeing a Hispanic Man or Woman on the streets of ENY was definitely a very rear occasion like catching a glimpse of a full moon once a month. I have lived through fear of racial discrimination on a daily basics, when we use to play basketball in the school yard of JHS 218 Junior High School I always heard of but never experienced a drive by shooting until one day while I was playing a basketball game with my friends I heard what I thought was firecrackers going off, POP, POP, POP, "NIGGER " I looked around because back in my day when you heard someone called you or shouted out " NIGGER ", whether they were Black or White it didn't matter, it was time to get ready to thrown down and fight. When all of us heard those hateful words permeate the air everyone forgot about the bouncing basketball as it slowly rolled off to the side of the school yard fence and we all who ever it was that was playing on the game court at that time even doe all of us might be complete strangers to each other we instinct fully knew in order for us to survive at that time in the new hood we had to instantly band together and become an instant gang to protect ourselves against the prowling white racist that continuously drove around the hood in their cars and sprang surprise attacks out of their cars like green berets upon any innocent victim they caught out there. The racist dipped into our normal lives unannounced regularly " POP, POP, POP " when we all looked around again from the basketball court to see who was bold enough to in flame our young MACHO Ego's all of us realized at the same time and saw a black car driving by going north on Logan Street towards Blake Avenue with the back window down which had a young white boy hanging himself half out of the car window with no shirt " SHOOTING HIS RIFLE AT US AND YELLING OUT", " NIGGER", "AT THE SAME TIME " ! All of us in the school yard hit the deck as fast as we could " POP, POP, POP " the shooting continued and as the car drove away he was laughing and shouting out " HOW YOU LIKE THAT NIGGER'S " ! Lucky for us the bullets were deflected off of the aluminum school yard fence but we could still hear the bullets as they hit the school building wall behind us lucky for us when ever we were playing basketball, no one ever got hit that I personally knew but their was talk on the street that one day two people did get hit in JHS 218's school yard. I didn't know their names but yes I heard that one of them did get hit by one of those ricocheting bullets off of the school yard fence and died.

Going to school in the six grade during the 1960's was also hazardous to your health if you attended P.S 214 located on Pitkin Avenue and Forbell Street in Queens about one mile and a half from where we lived. Going to P.S 214 you knew not to miss the one and only 8:30 A.M to school bus and the 3 o' clock P.M school bus leaving the school to ride home otherwise you might just get caught out their walking to or from school and be met by a precision assault  group of white racist that hated Africans and Hispanics moving into their community. We lived with fear everyday, and 15 minutes before the school exit bell would ring signaling the end of the school day you would see those of us that had to get on that school bus to ride home closing and packing up our books early ahead of time getting ready for that marathon sprint when the 3 o'clock school bell rang. When the bell rang we sprinted through the school to the bus pickup point and you better not miss it. Each day the teacher would yell out 15 minutes before 3 o' clock exit bell would ring the teacher always yelled out ? Sit down the exit bell did not ring yet, sometimes I thought the teachers might be in on the plot to eliminate us especially because the way some of the teachers acted, you just did not know who to trust if they were white even doe they were board of education teachers all of the six graders that were African American felt that all of the white teachers, were in on the deal and were Benedict Arnolds = " TRAITORS " ! " NO EXCEPTIONS ALLOWED " when you are fearing for your life ! If you were stupid enough to listen to the teachers and miss the only bus home, while walking either way to or from school at any time the racist could instantly drive up at any moment and as they exited their car call you " NIGGER ", and beat the crap out of you until you were " HALF DEAD" then left you in the street gutter bleeding, ready to DIE ! Yes it did happen to numerous students I personally knew, and a large amount of six graders who lived to tell the tale who were new to the area just did believe what we told them and thought it could not happen to them in "America The Land of The FREE " ! Many were new to our ENY Community, we called them, the new jacks, they found out real quick that they were not living in Kansas anymore and could not click their red shoes three times to escape from the bad dream they were now awoke and involved in and felt the live action horror of racism face to face greeting you with a punch in the mouth and steel toe construction boots kicking you in the head and stomach because this was ENY Brooklyn N.Y where only the strong survived and being ni-eve, could get you maimed or instantly killed in a heart beat on the street back during the turbulent 1950's and 60's. Many six graders that survived an army type assault attack beating and going to the Hospital from adults administrating an angry close fist beating and kicked with size 12 steel toe construction boots now with broken ribs and teeth, realized this was no joke and after their near death experience, knew after that not to miss that school bus anymore when going or leaving the school grounds. One day the bus broke down near P.S 214, we were scared to stay in the bus and even more scared to leave it as well lucky for us the racist patrol was not around other wise they would have had a field day beating us in the school bus. Most of us stayed on the floor of the bus so if the racist patrol did pass by it would look like an empty bus had broken down and no one was on it, finally the other bus came and all of us ran of the broken down bus as if we were running out of a house on fire into the other working bus. We always had a African American bus driver named " RACEHORSE " when I use to talk to him privately he told me the reason why he always drove so fast was to get out of their community as quick as possible because his life was in danger too. When we got on the working school bus " RACEHORSE " gunned it, school bus tires screeching we peeled out down the block for home base an not a second to soon, boy was that a scary day. Fear was a big part of our every day life inside of the P.S 214 school building, at lunch time all of the school yard gate entrances were left open, and I always wondered if the teachers or principal left them open purposely because the school authority knew what was going on, but did nothing about it. Their were no Police ever posted in or around the school grounds so we did the next best thing, my crew  carried meat cleavers, steak knives, and razor blades to school on a daily basics to protect ourselves from harm. Me and my crew, " never got beat up " we were always on our toes and yes if we did get caught we were going to stab them because they were adults, we were kids and their were just to many people that died in cold blood inside of the hood from being beaten to death by white racist and remember we were just skinny little innocent six graders. If you were stupid enough to be caught playing out in the school yard without being vigilant at times you could get seriously hurt. One day a precision coordinated assault attack organized like army rangers attacked the school yard from both sides in full force, their were about 75 of the racist, hundreds of kids scattered, screaming for help and running through the school doors running as fast as they could fearing for their lives, good thing the racist didn't parachute in or most of us would have been caught off guard in the middle of the yard cut off from entering the school yard entrance doors and been severely beaten or beaten to death for sure. Back then their were no school security guards like they have in the school buildings today to guard the students and facility if they were their they could have save our necks many times. Precision racist army ranger type assaults could take place at anytime during the entire day and remember these were grown white adult males beating up skinny little six graders beating you as if you were a grown adult with no distinction. Twice the racist invaded our school building during the school day, like a precision NYC Police SWAT Team doing a drug house type assault running into numerous classrooms injuring and hurting numerous students, Yes they were very bold, cold hearted, and commenced vicious attacks against on us due to the color of our skin.

No, I don't hate all white people just the white people that called me " NIGGER " ! I do business with many professional white people now and some of them I would even give up my life for and, at the same time I don't hate all African Americans either, just the ones that are racist and the one's that might try to rob me on the street. I need you to understand that I hate no one unless they are trying to offend, or disrespect me. I'am not a racist, an anti Semite, nor a bigot. I believe what Martin Luther King said and live by those words on a daily basics, Judge A Man Not by The Color Of His Skin, Judge A Man by The Content of His Character.

I lived in ENY during the 1977 Black Out when the majority of retail store's were looted and burned it was one of the dumbest things I ever saw we only hurt ourselves because the next day you could not find a store open and the stores that were open did not have the supplies you needed to  buy, I saw the red lining of real estate within our community where you could buy an empty NYC HPD real estate lot for one dollar and just pay the yearly taxes on it and it was yours. Today that same empty real estate lot that you could have brought, for one dollar, is now worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and it is extremely hard to find one that you can buy. I have seen the burning of numerous buildings, AIDS/HIV wiping out thousands of my friends, the height of the Crack Epidemic inside of ENY and Brownsville Brooklyn where every five through fifteen minutes you heard wailing Police and Ambulance sirens, day and night, and you could hear the sounds of gun shots ringing in the back ground every hour or so. Now in the year 2006 they claim that crime has dropped inside of NYC which it has. Crime has dropped alright, quite as it is kept NYC Officials do not want to talk about the real reason why crime has dropped. The main reason why crime has dropped during the decade of 2000 is, because thousands of African and Hispanic Americans and immigrants who could not afford to live within NYC, have moved out of NYC into other parts of America. If you have been reading the newspapers and listening to the radio and TV, I know you had to hear about the crime rate increasing in the southern states of America were a huge amount of poor NYC residents have move to because the standard of living they feel is much cheaper. This is a fact if the government said it like I just did, they would be charged as being bigots and racist. You can't hide from the truth, the city slickers, as they are called in the southern states, have moved in, and taken over. Statistics don't lie just look at the federal governments list of where the most people have moved to within the last 5 - 10 year's and notice that the crime rate increase has directly followed the NYC crowd shift, now try to explain that away.

Now that the decade of 2000 is upon us opening up the regeneration of a new community with construction of new housing, all coming back within ENY and Brownsville Brooklyn N.Y. ENY and Brownsville known as the ghetto, is fast becoming a middle class enclave where a cheap house so called " Affordable Housing ", which is a big joke when it will cost you $349,000.00 doesn't sound like " Affordable Housing " to me. Home owners can pay a modest $13,000 down payment with a 30 year mortgage, now even a elementary school drop out can see that within ten year's your interest payments will be almost as high as your monthly mortgage bill and that leads to foreclosure unless you continuously refinance the house on a yearly basics or when wall street interest rates drop and we all know most African and Hispanics do not refinance meaning ? That a large amount of these new home owners are destined to , lose their homes in the future just look at current stats on the channel 13 business news report they said, " the largest majority of people losing their newly acquired homes are located within East Flatbush, Flatbush, Bed-Sty, Canarsie, Brownsville, and East New York Brooklyn. Before the announcer could place the graphics on the board so you could it, I already knew where the highest rates would be just from driving through these communities you could see within a two block area. One, Two or Three closed down new looking homes. At one time you could buy a real cement and brick four story Brownstone house for $12,000.00 back before the 1950's including a backyard inside of NYC. Today you get a pre-fab assembly lined modular housing stackable home unit for $349,000.00 including transportation cost, at one time transportation costs only related to new cars being delivered to a new car dealers showroom straight from the manufacturer. Today when you buy a new home additional transportation cost means, having your home delivered to the empty lot in which you will be residing in the future.

[ SMILE ].

I Love NYC, the empire city, the city at the top of the world, living in the greatest country on the planet, and living on the greatest planet in the whole dawn universe ! I don't want to live anywhere else in this universe, I love to travel, and regularly fly out of NYC and when I do leave NYC and go any where else in America or abroad into a foreign country. You then realize what you really had back home in good old Brooklyn N.Y. Stores open early and close late, you don't have to go out each day and wait to shoot your dinner as it runs by, clean drinking water, you don't have to walk a mile and carry a bucket full of water back on your head, shopping malls close by to shop at night or over the internet compared to street mall vendors disappearing at sun down, and having the security of knowing anything that is made anywhere on this earth, you can bet you can find it right here in good old NYC.

But their is one thing that I don't like that seems to rear its ugly head over, and over again and never seems to ever disappear or fall asleep forever inside of any  urban American city across the counrty, and that is the shootings of innocent young African and Hispanic Americans. You don't hear about many white people getting shot, why is that. I have lived through the 1950's and 60's the racist times where all NYC Police Officers were white. I had no idea that the term, The Police " PATTY WAGON ", was a racist term until The Reverend Herbert Daughtry used it on TV and had a mega media backlash against him stating that he used a racist term on TV. Everyone in the African American community has always used the term " PATTY WAGON ", when ever the Police arrested someone, I learned the term from hearing the adults in the community using it who called the jail truck The " PATTY WAGON " I never knew that the term  " PATTY WAGON " was a racist term until The Reverend Herbert Daughtry used it on TV and had the media backlash against him ! I like the Reverend and believe in what he is doing, but The Reverend Herbert Daughtry in no way is a racist he unknownly like myself learned the word from our elders and just kept on using it like me thinking that The term " PATTY WAGON ", was the correct name for the Police Jail Truck. The term I now realize was used to slap the racist police officers back in the face because we were all powerless to do anything else but run our mouths. You have just been educated and now can clearly see how racism does start in the neighborhood without you knowing it, just by following what the adults say and do, when you are young thinking that they must know the right things to say and do in a clean young mind, you have no idea that you are really being brain washed with some of the adult prejudice ways, means, and terms that adults use daily which are counter productive to the American dream which detracts from adding new chapters of equality and opportunity for all.

I personally knew three different friends that I grew up with that were shot dead by NYC Police in my ENY Cypress Hills Housing Project in cold blood. Their names were, ELLIOT MERCADO, who was Hispanic a guy I always hung out with on a regular basics who lived in my building on my floor, JEFFERY MOORE who also lived in the front of the projects, RANDOLPH EVANS, who lived in the back of the projects who's brother BUTCHIE EVANS went to F.K. Lane High School with me, and we regularly hung out together and I  personally knew his entire family. All three were gunned down by NYC Police Officers and none of my friends were ever involved in a robbery, had a Police record, threatened an officers life, or were carrying a gun or knife when they got shot. None of the guilty officers ever spent a day in jail, have atoned for their sin, or even said that they were sorry to the family's for shooting their sons. NYC Officals never admit Police Officers are human too, and once in a while they do make mistakes by shooting incident people, problem is so many innocent people are getting killed and it starts to look like The NYC Police Department is trying to wipe us off the face of the earth completely. I know that this is not the case, but it sure looks that way from mine and alot of other peoples eyes. You can't revive someone who is dead but it would be nice to hear The Mayor of NYC get on Radio or TV and say that a mistake has been made, but we all know because of legal issues this will never happen especially when The Mayor is doing his best at convincing the family not to sue NYC. They say history never repeats itself, well I know of a number of cases where it has and continuously does repeat itself where careless and non responsible Police Shootings, having no visible guilty party some how, always repeats itself over, over again. The innocent people that were shot dead, did not shoot themselves like the police would like us to believe. Last month in November 2006 once again a young African Americans life was snuffed out and get this it all happened the day before he was to get married what a bummer. The now deceased Shawn Bell who lived in Queens had the same nightmares myself and each young African and Hispanic American male today lives with on a day to day basics, being gunned down by our peace keepers The NYC Police Department, N.Y City's Finest.

As of October 2006 The 75th Police Precient in Brooklyn N.Y once again has a new commanding officer the 75th Precient changes commanders like we change tee shirts. New Commander Mr David .P. Barrere has taken over a Precient that has a long track record and bad reputation inside of ENY, he might be a great commander but he is powerless to stop any bad situation from turning into a major incident on the street. The only way the commander could ever have full control over his beat officers is when NYC eventually utilizes I-Robots. Its the only way to establish full control over an officer that might have gone bad especially after an officer shoots an innocent resident fifty times their is no reason on earth that an officer can give to you to explain away why he had to shoot, reload and keep on firing at a resident that was unarmed. Only then could the Precient Commander say to the public on Radio and TV that the Officers I-Robot computer chip short circuited, failed, or was outdated and needed to be replaced. Their are many great Police Officers out their on the job and at the same time their are many underhanded and disrespectful officers still lurking within our community presently who on an ongoing basics create confusion, and mistrust for our NYC Police Department who deal with and who willingly harass community residents just because they have a badge and a gun with no respect for anyone but themselves and also give NYCPD its bad name, and bad reputation. Some of the Police Officers after locking up so many criminals believe that every young African and Hispanic Male in our community is guilty even before seeing a judge just because they think it is so. I have personally met those types of officers too in my own community. I interact with the community affairs division of the ENY 75th and Brownsvilles 73rd Precients when ever I have to file for an event permit or need their assistance to provide exterior security for major community meeting so things do not get out of hand. The majority of Police Officers honestly really want to help people in distress and then their are those that want to create confusion and who are the closet racist both African and White Police Officers.

Back In 1971 inside of my ENY Cypress Hills Housing Project I too had a close call with death involving The NYC Police Department. I was hanging out with two of my life long friends Rubin Fleary, and Bumpie both lived within the same housing project that I lived in, all of us were just hanging out one Saturday, having fun when officer Manny a plain clothes off duty Police Officer felt like dealing out some street corner justice on his own to the "wrong people" ! Officer Manny started something that would back fire like a exploding firecracker in his face after the scuffle ended. Officer Manny felt he did not have to identify himself first to us as we were standing their hanging out inside of the hallway with our backs up against the wall. Officer Manny was off duty at the time when he came downstairs from his cousin Ruth Rivera's house on the seventh floor. We all saw the them come into the building Mr. and Mrs. Rivera and Officer Manny. I said hello the married couple The Rivera's [Mannys relatives] as I always did when they passed us in the hallway lobby as the three of them walked up the steps and disappeared in the elevator. Ten minutes later Officer Manny came back down alone angry about something. It was Saturday and that morning I had asked to borrow my brother Michaels new green leather jacket for the first time, my brother was never ever involved in any type of trouble. They say, all African American males look alike and because I had on my brothers green jacket on, when Officer Manny passed us and saw me in the green jacket when he returned asking no questions he immediately accused us of molesting his cousin Ruth during the week. None of us ever saw Officer Manny before in our life time and we all thought he was just plain crazy and we knew nothing about what he was accusing us of as he approached us with a drawn Jim Booie hunting knife. Officer Manny then proceeded to walk closer and slash at us with his knife saying I know you guys did it, " I just know you did it " , and now you are going to pay for what you did ! The only people in the hood at that time that got shot or stabbed, were the people that were out there robbing people and doing wrong out on the streets and all of us had full time day jobs back then. When Officer Manny  hit my life long best friend Rubin Fleary, I just lost it. I reached over my friends Bumpies shoulder and punched him in the mouth while he was moving toward and still hitting Rubin in the mouth while he still had the knife out in the other hand, then we all jumped him together after I hit him, a gun fell out of his holster from underneath his coat and skid across the floor of the hallway. All of us froze instantly in place, it was only one thousand of a second that went by but it seemed a lot longer than that when you are in a life and death battle for your life. Before the gun could stop sliding across the floor, all four of us leaped towards the gun on the floor together at the same time. I was the closest to the gun so I dove towards the gun on the floor and lucky for Officer Manny, he got his hand on the gun first, if I would have got to the gun first ? I definitely would have shot him dead no question about it and not knowing at the time that he was an Official NYC Off Duty Police Officer, we all thought he was just a mad man going crazy on us and each of us were truly fearing for our lives at that point. Some how he got to the gun first, it was definitely his lucky day because police officers did not wear bullet proof vest back in those days, and I definitely would have shot him cold in the chest, if I had gotten to the gun first. I need you to understand this, I have never been a violent man, never did any jail time, I believe in clean living have high morals was brought up in church, graduated from high school got an AA degree from college and was an "A" student while in school, held down a regular day job and had been sponsoring local ENY Family Day Events Each Summer for the whole community to enjoy at no charge to residents inside of The ENY Cypress Hills Housing Projects, Euclid Avenue Park location since 1969. Each year I organized and sponsored the community event bringing in The famed 107.5 WBLS Radio Stations JAMM VAN With Radio Personality DJ Vaughn Harper and The SURESHOTS Basketball Team each year for our event. I had been sponsoring these event's for over 2 year's at that time before I met Officer Manny the unidentified rogue off duty Police Officer who came into our lives and assaulted us without provocation. I almost got my head blown off that day, my whole life flashed before my eyes as I looked down his gun barrel back in March of 1971. The case was thrown out of The Brooklyn Criminal Court directly because he had the wrong people period. Plus he had no witnesses to prove his side of the story. The witness his cousin Ruth that lived on the seventh floor in my building, a person I knew and who lived in the building for over eight year's and she was a person I said good morning to and spoke to every time I sever saw her and her husband together in the elevator or on the street they both were so embarrassed and ashamed of what had happened Ruth refused and never appeared in the court room that day. When Ruth found out who Manny was assaulting, Neighbors told me that, she cried and said that I was not the one that molested her ! Over 600 people from Cypress Hill Projects came down on our behalf to the court room trail on the court date because everybody in the hood that lived inside of my ENY Cypress Hills Projects at that time knew who I was, knew who I hung out with and, just knew I could never ever do anything like what the police officer stated. I heard after, each time The Rivera's stepped out of the building [ I had nothing to do with the way the residents felt after the incident happened nor did I tell them to do bodily harm their family ] the residents basically ran them out of the project. They moved two months after the incident happened directly because people began throwing bottles at them everytime they exited the building.

Bullets have no names or explanations why they hit you, being nosey, ratting on someone and sometimes minding your own business when a Police Officer is around, can be very dangerous to your health where I come from. But in order to sponsor events where the public will be in attendance. NYC law clearly states that it is mandatory that you notify The NYC Police Department a month ahead of time before the event date begins or your event will be shut down immediately because you did not possess a valid permit on the event date. I did not make up the NYC government rules, but if you want to be a player in the game of life inside of NYC and sponsor positive events within your own community, their are rules you have to abide by in order to sponsor a local event date. You have no choice in the matter organized and secure activity plans with a  volunteers or paid security force is the rule of the day, all  papers must be filed through The NYC Police Department community affairs division.

I feel I have met NYC's Finest, and most of them work within The Community Affairs Division which I think is the best Police division in the entire NYC Police Department because they are not like your everyday street beat officers they have a more human quality about them and I personally feel they really do care about our community playing big brother and sister to many kids that have no Fathers and Mothers home and need help no matter what the color of their skin is.

Many people who live in suburban communities can not understand how minding your own business when a NYC Police Officer is around can be dangerous to your health. The Police have a very hard job to do sometimes they are,  " DAMMED IF THEY DO ", AND SOMETIMES, DAMMED IF THEY DON'T " ! If you don't know, then let me enlighten you, if your an African or Hispanic male, from 12 year's old and up chances are you could be harassed, arrested without an incident occurring that you were personally involved in and knew nothing about. You could be jailed, or even shot dead on the spot just for moving to fast when asked to stop while walking, or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. These are the fears that every young and old African and Hispanic Male lives with each and every day in the empire city and in other urban cities across America. The prison industry is one of Americas largest employers entire communities can spring up almost over night from a ghost town directly because a prison was built within a 500 mile radius area. As quiet as it is kept, prisons create jobs and a booming economy where ever one is built.

We need Police Officers because without them their would be roving gangs of thieves, rapist, and pillagers that residents would have no choice but to organize themselves into a make shift police force to protect their families and community. America's Police Officers have a very difficult job to do but arrogance of written laws, cowboying, maintaining the status quo, and abusing their authority are the things we don't need.

At this time I would like to offer my sympathy to the Late Shawn Bells family in their hour of grief and need. It is enviable Police shootings of innocent people will happen again the cycle always repeats itself and is never palatable.

I feel one of the things that needs to be done that is not currently done now. Is for the NYC Police Department and the NYC Board Of Education to come together to include ongoing educational classes at the 3rd or fourth grade level to teach our children early on the who, what, when, where, how and why, if a police officer confronts you, why you should obey their commands, don't move, and the problems that could arise if commands are not directly followed and obeyed even if they feel the officers decision is wrong in a tense situation things could get real ugly fast and out of control. What I'am saying here has nothing to do with the SHAW BELL shooting, that is in a category all of its own. Yes I already know even with the classes people will most likely still get shot by Police Officers but, by educating the residents doing this just opens up the avenue's of communication and understanding, hopefully residents can better understand what Police Officers face on a daily basics even doe most don't care what they feel and Police Officers can learn from the kids because they look at things differently than adults do generally because their minds have not been fully polluted yet by society in general and hopefully they will be able to find a solution and be educated ahead of time before someone else gets shot dead.

I feel it would go a long way towards reducing the confusion in the community as the kids grow older and how they should react in an uncomfortable situation when dealing with a NYC Police Officer on a daily basics. No one has ever made a concerted effort to diffuse a potentially explosive situation between residents and our beloved NYC Police Department. It would go a long way towards educating our community and the police. It may not solve all of our problems within the Police Department but I feel it would definitely go a long way towards revealing to the kids how to react when a police officer identifies their self to them and shouts to them to stop running and identify their self due to fear of being shot dead. Police Officers and Students alike would then gain some insight of looking at each other through each others eyes. Residents could gain insight looking through the Police Officers eye why a resident should not move a muscle until told to do so or,  you could possibly get shot dead by making a quick move that the police officer intermits as an aggressive move or sees you as making a life threating move against the police officer. Educating the residents making us understand how police feel, look at things, and the nervous situation the residents are put in versus the nervous situation the police officer must deal with each time a community resident and police interact with each other can only breed new solutions. Most African and Hispanic residents see the police as an occupying army instead of viewing them as keepers of the peace within our communities, due to disrespectful attitudes, educating each other is the only way to find an immediate response towards a long term solution we can all cautiously live with. IMPORTANT CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY PLEASE READ
Cancer News
Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters.

1. No plastic containers in microwave.

2. No water bottles in freezer.

 3. No plastic wrap in microwave.

This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as
well.

Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Dioxin
chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer.
Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases
dioxins from the plastic.

Recently, Dr.. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program
Manager at Castle Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health
hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us.

He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using
plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat.
He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases
dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body.

Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or
ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only
without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and
soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in
something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper.
It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc.

He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants
moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one
of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as
dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the
food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt
out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.

Cover food with a paper towel instead.
