First I want to thank you for continuously reading our news
column and we hope the info you are now reading can help to
change, improve your life and make you smile during the day or
night.
As I was growing up In East New
York Brooklyn N.Y USA during the 1970's. Jobs were plenty full throughout the
U.S.A mainly because the Vietnam War was still going on. During
that summer on 1010 WINS A.M Radio Station we use to hear the
Rolling Stones 45 RPM Record played every 20 minutes or so
singing, " I, Can't, Get, No-O, Sat-tis-fication,
But I'll try, and I'll tRY, and I'll Try, AND I'LL TRY-iii ".
" I CAN'T GET NO " !
The Rolling Stones Record Song coined The Vietnam War Area For White People
and James Browns Song " SAY IT LOUD ", " I'am Black And I'am
Proud Coined It For African Americans. Man those were some good
old days where you could feel the positive electricity buzzing
around in the air and the presence of prosperity was every
where.
" SAY WHAT "
Yes everyone in the HOOD including Grandmas and Grandpapas back
then was singing James Browns " SAY IT LOUD " and found plenty
of Sat-tis-fication back in those days. People were smiling more
and making long term plans, business was good, owners or one of their
current employees use to stand
outside of the business trying to hire you as you walked by, "
hey kid you looking for a job " ? In return we would answer, "
how much you paying " ! Oh A-aaa $2.50 the owner might say and
we would answer Na-aaa that's too low, pay each of us $3.00 and
you got a deal, Ok the owner would say and now you had a new job
paying $3.00 an hour. Back then business owners were desperate
for new employees and you could barter your hourly wage up if
you were smart enough to feel him out and and knew how much the
job was really worth and how to negotiate for wages you wanted
to get. No one had credit cards accept business owners regular 9
- 5 P.M workers did not have them. You had to get by on what you
had in your pocket or what you had in your savings bank account.
People were able to buy new cars, own brownstone houses and did
not have to worry about gas for their cars because it was only
50 cents for a gallon of gas.
" SAY WHAT "
I now realize that life was really " JUICY " back then and The United States
economy was truly booming. Some people I knew who lived within
the ghetto were able to buy brand new cars with straight cash,
no credit cards around. Some had two and three cars, owned their
own homes and they were not drug dealers just everyday Monday -
Friday 9 - 5 working people. Yeah life was good and I thought it
could only get better, little did I know we were living in the
prime time
" GOOD OLD DAYS "
Our economy grew at a rapid
rate mainly because their was a series of wars back to back that needed parts,
services and supplies from across the U.S.A. The money kept
rolling in and our work output increased at the job feeding the war
at a healthy pace with an endless amount of supplies. More workers were needed for every
type of industry job you could think of to feed the need
starting from World War 2, right through The Korean War, and up
into The Vietnam War. This created the climate of, if you really wanted to work their was
always a new job out their to be found this fed citizens
prosperity, low prices for products and the huge need of job vacancies throughout the
U.S.A. People were hired on a first come first served basics for
non experience and non skilled labor jobs. The moral of the story is, if
you got up early in the morning, by the end of
the day you were guaranteed to be hired and have a new J.O.B.
" SAY WHAT "
Yes, for those of you that were too small to remember. Back during
the 1960's - 70's. Man Oh Man we might have been poor compared
to rich people but Ha, Haa, everything was within reach for
everyone I knew who wanted to get out there and work for it,
life was great. During school days there were plenty of part
time after school jobs and during the summer when we were all
out of school we had ? The Youth In Action Summer Jobs getting
paid Monday - Friday five days a week from 9 - 5 P.M for , " GET
THIS ", $38.82 a week and back then " WOO WEE ", $38.82
was a whole lot-a money back in those days. You could take
your girl out to the movies Friday and Saturday Night, get a
slice of Pizza for 25 cents each, and ride the train for 15
cents one way. You could buy your girl a new watch or a
Rockefeller Styled Jewelry Necklace and when the rocks sparkled,
we considered them real Diamonds as far as we were concerned and
now your Babe would turn around and make you sparkle in the
night and howl at the Moon like The Werewolf of London Howls as
you got your Lollypop licked in the middle of the night for the
gifts you just gave her,
Were Wolf of London Sounding Off
" How-Wooo " !
After getting your Lollypop licked in the middle of the night by
your Girl. You could now settle into your triumph modeling pose
standing there looking like " MACK DADDY HIMSELF " in the Moon
light with your Super Badd Hart Street custom tailored made suit
you got for " DIG THIS ", $12.00 " That's Right " for a full two
or three piece suit No Lie " ! All the fellows throughout
the hood were always pressed looking like " Mack Daddy Pimps "
sporting their new Hart Street custom tailored made suits.
Yes the playboys were on the prowl as we rode by in our gleaming
spotless silver cars called ? The Iron Horse, " Next Stop
42nd Street ", " Watch The Closing Doors Please "!
Air Brake Sound = Che-sss
Only older people were able to afford cars
during the 1960's. Most of the Slick, Super Fly Hard Core
Brothers, hoofed it to the train station with their girl in tow.
As the train traveled through the tunnel we sold our women
dreams sexual fantasy and posterity dreams of the future as the
train rumbled through the tunnel. Back then we had
" No Personal Cars " to ride in or lean on to be
KOOL !
" Laughing " !
Yes we were poor with little money in our pockets ? But all the
girls that hung out with us would always say everyone in my crew
looked good e-nough to die for. That's when all the fellows in
my crew got " BALLOON HEAD FEVER " as we walked toward the MTA
turn style in our high heeled shoes with big pimp hats and
" MACK DADDY ATTITUDES " put our MTA Tokens in the turn style
and sashayed down the staircase to the A Train Platform At
Euclid Avenue.
"SAY WHAT " " Smile "!
Yes, we wore SUPER BRIGHT Yellow, Red, Light Blue, Baby Blue,
Green, and conservative looking Airadesent mohair tailored made
business suits " WOW " ! You name it somebody had it from
clownish looking suits to " The Ron O'Neil SUPER FLY Movie
Threads " ! Some suits were so bright you had to put on and wear
your sunglasses, just to walk down the street and pass the other
brother by " Why " ? Because we all had " MUCHO STYLE AND CLASS
" and wanted to be noticed and we totally use to blind people
when ever they walked by us boy was it fun. Yes it was very easy
to be blinded when a " MACK
DADDY ", dressed brother walked past you. Yes, you could easily
lose your way, and completely miss walking on the sidewalk and
wind up in the street and almost get hit by a car or truck
coming at you as they hit their brakes and horn as the driver
shouted, swearing out the window at you saying. You dumb bastard
are you blind or something ? Yes sir temporarily because that
guy walking over there in that bright red pimp hat and tailored
made suit blinded me for a second or two and I lost my way and
stepped into the street by accident. Sorry, its his fault not
mine, so Please Forgive Me. if I did not forgot my sunglasses at
home this morning. It would have never happened, Sir Sorry !
" SAY WHAT ", " Smile " !
As we
got older their were always plenty of After School Jobs, Summer
Jobs and The Famous Government Make Work Jobs called C.E.T.A
Jobs which they should bring back today in 2008. Anyway they
were better known as The Federal Governments = Comprehensive
Employment Training Act Jobs = C.E.T.A. Back then if you did not have a job you were either
shiftless and lazy, handicapped or happy to receive a monthly
welfare checks bragging to others,
" I GOT IT MADE ",
Most of the upcoming youth I knew had C.E.T.A
Jobs for a mandatory 18 months. At the end of the 18 months the
NY State, City or Federal Government position you held could
turn into a permanent full time job forever and I still
personally know of three people that I grew up with still
holding down the permanent Full Time Government Jobs they
received through the C.E.T.A job Program. We were employed on a
full time basics through the C.E.T.A Program and got paid
$10,500 a year. Back then we felt like we were Millionaires
today the same C.E.T.A Money would be worth about approximately
$25,000 !
" SAY WHAT " !
As we got older my deceased best friend Rubin Flearys Father
brought him a supped up AMC Javelin which had 10 inch wide oval
tires in the front and 15 inch tires in the back with the raised
white letters on the side of the tires. That car roared like a
Lion and beat everyone that we raced against. My girl friend Eva
Grant { My Fifth Grade Buddy } always use to tell me I drove to
fast, I really I wanted to drive her to the marriage alter fast
but money ruled I didn't have enough and I guess she realized I
was not going to take me a life time to become a millionaire
quickly. So she lost patience, took out her red magic carpet and
like a bird flew off into the sunset.
Gas was only 75
cents a gallon and Rubin had a 400 Horse Powered Engine with
chrome headers that roared loud like a race car. Yes we had endless fun
and model type girls always floating around us waiting for a ride, BOYY
Life Was GREAT ", and I always felt that life could only get
better !
When I compare today August 2008 with how we lived during the
1960's - 1980's, it is truly unbelievable ! Gone are the good
old day's of low prices, fun, posterity and the electric vibes
in the air. Gone are the days of riding around in a car with
your girl and not having to worry about the price of gas. Gone
are the day's of eating at your favorite restaurant paying $2.99
for a burger or turkey burger and
fries per plate meal. Gone are the days of going out with your
girl or girls hanging out with their man spending $20.00 and having a great time. Gone
are the days of working Monday - Friday 9 - 5 P.M and splurging
on the weekends. Gone are the days of traveling to another state
every weekend just to party and hang out with friends. Our
economy is crumbling along with our quality of life and life style of care free
living. Most people I know today are living paycheck to
paycheck. Most are living on borrowed time in their homes as oil
prices creep up. Most of us must cut back from what we have grown
accustomed too and must now buckle down and prepare our life's
the same way we would prepare our homes. As if a hurricane was
about to hit and and rip what we worked for apart. I'am 54
year's old and have never seen our U.S.A economy in such a
tragic state, that must tell you something you better pay
attention to.
" SAY WHAT " !
Many governments agencies today across the country are now utilizing
drastic measures they never used before to balance their budgets due to the
huge numbers of raising real estate housing foreclosures across the country. Many
are tilting towards instituting early lay offs for long time
employees, introducing hiring freezes and trying to figure out
how they can bounce back from the huge Billion Dollar property
tax losses they are encountering. Our way of life is about to
change in a major way and one of the things I suggest to you is
? Learn how to operate a your own business online, their are
many products and services you can sell and it is not as hard as
you might think it is. Their are plenty of business
administration, marketing and advertising seminars on our site
and on other sites you can learn. If you are laid off or begin
to experience your own budget short falls I suggest you begun
planting the seeds now towards subsidizing your income and do
not wait for an extreme emergency to happen because it takes
time to build a successful business. Many people always
wait until they have major financial problems to go the extra
mile and start their own business. Remember operating a business
and operating it efficiently are to different things. You will
have to work a lot harder but the rewards are alot bigger and
more rewarding. With gas prices going up and up Government
agencies will be experiencing short falls, services will be cut
and your quality of life will drastically diminish if you do not
start now. Many Upper middle class people I know are now leaving
their cars home instead of driving to work on a daily basics.
Most are just driving their cars to the train station and
boarding the train to ride into work. At one time their was no
such thing as early retirement and possibly being let go from a
State, City or Federal Job. You knew when you would turn 65
years old your Social Security Check would be their for you to
live on until you die. Now all of what we thought was going to
be there for us , is now in jeopardy and if you just sit there
thinking that this mess will straighten itself out ? " You are a
fool " !
The American Dollar is now worth 50 cents, the war is ballooning
our national debt, foreigners are snatching up the U.S.A at
bargain basement prices for any product or service they need in
droves even a blind person with common sense can see that the
future outlook is not good. One must prepare themselves just in
case you lose you 9 - 5 job. What would you do if it happened to
you many people do not want to think about it but if you were
reading the business information I read on a daily basics you
would know that this is no hoax or joke. The U.S.A is about to
go into a serious depression the government doesn't want to tell
you that but since the 1940's even NYS Governor Patterson
realizes our economy is at its worst point since the 1940's and
said it on TV just Sunday August 3, 2008.
" SAY WHAT " !
When one door closes another one opens, just make sure you
are the one that is continuously trying to open the new doors.
You see doing business is a number game the higher amount of
potential clients you try to sell your products and services to
the higher the percentage is in your favor that you will become
successful ! Start by reviewing our business pages on a regular
basics. I have been reading about business since I was nine
year's old. I uncover and come across privileged information and
many new business opportunities that could turn your life
completely around. I have just landed a major contract for my
web services company and you can do it too selling any product
or service. Remember opening a store on a high traffic avenue
does not guarantee the you will be successful. I have personally
seen many small stores open on high traffic avenues and within
five year's go under just because they were not able to obtain
enough sales to survive. On the other hand when you open up a
store on the web the whole world can become your potential
customers what a difference this knowledge makes. The higher
amount of people visiting your site transcends into repeated
sales. You will spend less money opening a store online than if
you when out a opened up a store on say 5th Avenue inside of
NYC. You might not be operating a web business presently but to
open up a retail store on a high traffic avenue inside of NYC
your monthly rent might be anywhere from eight through fifteen
thousand dollars and many business fail within the first three
through five year's. Now lets compare that to opening up a new
web site store online the cost might be from one thousand
dollars and up. Remember their are a lot of people in this world
that do not have a high class shopping mall within 25 miles of
their home. As gas prices go up more and more people will
refrain from driving their cars to shop and search for web sites
do the shopping from.
Remember even doe you now have a new web site
online you will still have to have a business marketing plan.
Start by writing down what your long term goals and objectives
are, what your budget is, how and where and what banks and
corporate lending institutions you will need then go visit them
and let them know you are alive. Figure out how much credit will
you need, how much time you can put into the business on a daily
basics and how much you can afford to pay for additional
administrative help. You must learn to eat, sleep and tell
everyone you come in contact with about your new business
venture. Print up and pass out your new professional looking
business cards give one out to everyone you know and meet,
create some colorful advertising banners, post fliers and pass
business cards out at any large and small event. Try to obtain
as much free radio and TV publicity as possible. Part of doing
business is staying on top of handling all three parts of your
business marketing plan. Remember operating a business is not
like going to a 9 - 5 P.M Job. You must Eat, Sleep, Live your
dream daily on a 24 hour basics in order for your business to
grow and survive.

Here is an easy way to make some extra money on the side without working
to hard. If you know a business in your local community that would like to
advertise on our site contact us and you can make commissions from $75.00
and up just for sealing the deal. Their is so much mistrust in our neighborhoods today that most people
think that everyone in the world is corrupt and is looking, just to rip them
off. I built this site to provide information so your quality of life will
surpass mine. It took me year's to find out some of the same information
that you are now reading about just because no one that I knew or met knew
anything about " The Business of America, Is Business and if you pay
attention you'll be able to find out a lot of short cuts that took me year's
to find out just because I did not know anyone. First of all education is
everything, but going to school, reading it in a book and applying what you
read many times doesn't go exactly the way the book told you it would. When
you get your credit card, don't use it for buying a whole lot of clothes,
and spending it on crazy parties. Their will be time enough for that later
if you use them for making money and I don't mean for selling drugs or doing
something illegal. The prisons are filled with stories of people using their
credit cards to buy and sell drugs in the hood. I know you heard the what I
had stories, the if I only didn't do this story, and the if I only didn't do
that story. If you keep on reading my " What's New Page " it shall lead you
to alot of business seminars in and outside of the NYC 5 Borough's that
shall lead you to major business seminars, networking meetings etc. Many
people might say ha, reading is to much work, doing business in the street,
I can sell such and such and make even more on the illegal side, but is it
worth the life long headaches you'll go through afterward? One former drug
dealer that grew up in my housing project said to me when he got out of
prison that he wished that he never sold drugs because, when he got busted
his daughter was only 2 weeks old. He had to do 10 year's in jail and when
he came out of jail he told me that he wished he never dealt drugs because
when he got out of jail he went back to his former girl friend who never
went to see him just sent him pictures while in jail when he went to see his
daughter. When the door opened he recognized his daughter from the pictures
his former girl friend sent him while he was in prison and he smiled opened
his arms and called out her name when he saw her, " Hi Jenny Come To Daddy
"! Now by this time his daughter had bonded with his former girl friends new
man, and when he called out " Hi Jenny Come To Daddy " ! Jenny said your not
my Daddy this is my real Daddy over here, I don't know who you are mister !
He told me that his whole world turned up side down and no matter what he
does today he can never forgive himself because he is now sterile due to his
present illness and cannot regain bonding with his daughter in the way he
would like it to be. So see fast money not only burns through the pockets
faster ? They burn through the heart, the soul even faster and hurts a lot
longer in the future. He said I will never ever sell drugs again because it
has truly, " wrecked my life " ! " GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER START YOUR

AS DOCTORS HELP AFRICA WITH SURPLUS MEDICAL SUPPLIES THROWN
OUT BY US HOSPITALS - GIVE DOC 2 DOC $5.00 AND $100.00 WORTH OF MEDICAL
SUPPLIES ARE SENT TO AFRICA. GREAT IDEA = IT'S A WIN, WIN SITUATION
It may look like a regular garage, but inside some amazing journeys are
beginning to take shape.
Dr. Bruce Charash, a cardiologist at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan,
says he was inspired to take action after seeing the amount of unused
medical supplies thrown out at U.S. hospitals every day.
“In the range of 7,000 tons a day of medical supplies are thrown out
that could be reused or have never been used, and that's a stunning
amount,” says Charash.
In 2005 he started a non-profit called Doc to Dock as a commitment to
the Clinton Global Initiative.
The group connects the surplus of supplies that are either incinerated
or sent to landfills to those who need them. They ask physicians,
nurses, and dedicated volunteers to collect and redistribute the
supplies, excluding medication, to hospitals and patients in Africa.
Donations to the group are used to send the supplies, and Dr. Charash
and his team travel to the countries they serve to show them how to use
the products they send.
“If you give us $5.00, we deliver $100.00 of supplies to Africa, because we
are collecting expensive things that would otherwise be discarded,” says Charash. “We have gotten hundreds and hundreds of calls of people
wanting to give us a wheelchair or a walker or some gauze. It's been
really heart warming.”
Whether you end up giving money or medical supplies, Dr. Charash says
the return is really two-fold.
“We are what's called a 501 -C3 charity, which means we are a non-profit
organization. All gifts to us are tax deductible,” says Charash.
Lisa Heller, a certified public accountant, says that documentation is
what makes the difference when it comes to getting that tax deduction.
“In order to claim any charitable donation, you need to have either a
receipt from the charity or some other kind of bank record, such a as a
cancelled check, a credit card slip, or an account statement of some
kind,” says Charash.
She says many people donate to charity because they want to give back,
but they also should know that as long as the charity is recognized as a
501c3 there are tax advantages.
“If somebody makes, let’s say for an example, $60,000 a year, and they
donate $1,000 to a valid charity, their tax, and assuming they itemize
their deductions, their tax is going to be based, not on the $60,000,
but on $59,000 which is $60,000 minus the $1,000 charitable
contribution,” says Heller.
While the tax deduction does save you money, Charash says New Yorkers
biggest goals are to give from the heart.
“I think it’s a duty we have,” says Charash. “Many people share that
feeling. We have seen an incredible outpouring of generosity ” !
This is
true. Living in Florida, we already know not to save bottled
water after we buy it.
Leaving bottled water in your car
is extremely dangerous, especially for women!!!! This is how Sheryl
Crow got breast cancer.
She was
on theEllen
Show and said the same exact thing.
The
materials that collect within hot bottled water have been
identified as the most common cause and a major contributing
factor for the high levels obtained in breast cancer found in
woman across the globe, especially women living in Australia.
This
happens mainly because of the heat cooking the plastic bottle
especially during the spring and summer months.
But it
can also happen if you leave something in a plastic bottle
inside of your refrigerator for months too.
We
really don't know justhow long a product has
been in a plastic package when we buy it. Only thing I go by is
the "use by date" then hope and pray its valid
A friend whose mother was
recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
TheDoctor told her: women
should not drink bottled water that has been left in a hot car. The Doctor said that the heat and
the plastic mixing in the bottle have certain chemicals that are
released when heated which can lead to breast cancer.
So
please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been
left in a hot car or anywhere else.
Please
pass this message on to all the women in your life.
This
information is the kind we need to know and be aware of because it might
just, save your life !!!!
The hot
heat causes toxins from the clear and frosted plastic bottles to leak into the
water. Doctors and Scientist have found these toxins in breast tissue to be a
major contributor of breast cancer ! Use stainless steel canteens or
glass bottles when you can !!!

IMPORTANT CANCER UPDATE
FROM JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY PLEASE READ
Cancer News
Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters.
1. No plastic containers in microwave.
2. No water bottles in freezer.
3. No plastic wrap in microwave.
This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as
well.
Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Dioxin
chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer.
Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases
dioxins from the plastic.
Recently, Dr.. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program
Manager at Castle Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health
hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us.
He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using
plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat.
He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases
dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body.
Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or
ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only
without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and
soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in
something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper.
It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc.
He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants
moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one
of the reasons.
Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as
dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the
food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt
out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.
Cover food with a paper towel instead.
