" You missed it ' ! The grand
opening of The New East New York Linden Park it was well worth attending. Many of the Prime Time Movers and Shakers of East New York were in attendance for the newly
reconstructed Linden Park opening. Linden Park is bordered by Linden Blvd, Van Siclen, New Jersey, and Stanley Avenue's located in the East New York section of Brooklyn
New York. East New York City Councilman Charles Barron was in attendance and also Reverend Herbert Da-Tree as they flipped the giant electrical circuit switch, the huge
overhead flood lights lit up the entire park signifying the bright future ahead loaded with enormous opportunity for all who live within our community. The new Linden park is
a vast improvement over the old one, at one time the main football and soccer inner playing field use to flood on a regular basis whenever it rained, the entire inner playing
field then turned very muddy and was hazardous to soccer and football players who utilized the field for scheduled games. Now with the high wattage floodlights installed more
amateur basketball, soccer, and football league's will be able to continue their games long after the sun goes down and continue playing right on throughout the night.
Thanks To East New York City Councilman Charles Barrons inner vision, local residents will now be able to utilize the park long after the sun goes down, can continue
playing competitive sports games throughout the evening, and will not have to sit around saying there is nothing to do in the middle of the night inside of East New York
