EXTRA, EXTRA: We got some great news: For those of you that can remember back during 1991. The Hudsonic Organization reopened JHS's 218's After School Center doors to the ENY Community. Our communities after school center was closed to residents for over 25 Year's, nothing is impossible when people work together. With over 30 non-paid community resident volunteers and myself, together we made mission impossible a possible mission as we reopened and kept JHS 218's doors open for community residents to use from 3 - 6 P.M on a daily basics. Our program was open each day Monday - Friday and crime dropped between the hours of 3 - 6 P.M in the entire area due to our efforts.. For the first time in East New York Brooklyns history residents living within the area of Cypress Hills Project and surrounding areas in the NeigborHOOD came together for a positive cause and did what most people said could not be done. The positive strength of so many Brothers and Sisters working together made history and by working together we made a dream happen that the nay sayers said. Could never be done or work inside of one of the worst NYC crack and dope infested inner city neighborhoods within the USA.
